Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Wilmington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Just delicious! This stop was one the my son just had to make. After coming to the area from Ohio, he had never had these fresh like this before. He words I believe described the fresh donuts as, "magically good".

I’ll be honest about Krispy Kreme — when it’s good, it’s really good. The Original Glazed doughnuts, especially when they’re fresh and warm, are hard to beat. They’re light, melt-in-your-mouth, and definitely live up to the hype. That said, the experience isn’t always consistent. If you don’t catch them fresh, the doughnuts can taste a bit stale or overly sweet to the point where it’s hard to enjoy more than one. I’ve also noticed that some locations feel a bit rushed or understaffed, which can affect service and order accuracy. Another concern is the limited variety compared to some newer donut shops, and the pricing can feel a little high for what you’re getting, especially when quality isn’t at its peak. Overall, Krispy Kreme is worth it for that classic fresh glazed experience — just try to go when the “Hot Now” sign is on. Outside of that, it can be hit or miss.

I love KK so much, but I’ve been there at 6:30am twice in the past 2 weeks and the service was horrible. I’m sure they are understaffed and the staff they do have is underpaid so I don’t fault the staff. But the first time I had to wait 10 minutes for anybody to help me and the second time I walked out because even though I was the only customer in both the store and the drive thru, nobody came to the front. I have fond memories of KK from childhood so I’m a big fan but goodness gracious this store needs more help.

Krispy Kreme is one of those classic places that can be absolutely amazing—if you time it right. The key is to go first thing in the morning, bright and early. When you catch the donuts fresh, warm, and just made, the experience is unbeatable. There’s nothing like a fresh Krispy Kreme donut! However, if you go later in the day, many of the donuts come straight out of the refrigerator, and that really takes away from the magic. The texture and flavor just aren’t the same once they’ve been chilled. I do love their specialty and seasonal donuts—they’re always fun and creative, and we like to stop in as a special treat for things like good grades or little celebrations. This location isn’t the absolute best I’ve ever been to, but we will definitely continue to order from there for special occasions.

We don’t go often but when we do we go all out for holiday themed donuts! Also grabbed a pumpkin spice latte and it was delicious. The donuts were good and well decorated! The staff was super friendly too
